Christina Sanders, MSN, RN, NP

Christina Sanders was educated at Johns Hopkins University where she earned a bachelors and masters degree in nursing. During nursing school, Ms. Sanders received multiple awards for clinical expertise and academic excellence. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult nurse practitioner. She also received a bachelors degree in government with a concentration in public policy from the University of Notre Dame before starting nursing school.

Christina Sanders has been a registered nurse since 1998 and has worked as a nurse practitioner since 2001. She started her nursing career in the emergency department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After completing her Masters in 2000, she began practicing as an adult nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology with a large private practice group in New Jersey. She relocated to San Diego in 2004 and worked for nearly 8 years in the cardiology department at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. Christina joined San Diego Cardiovascular Associates in 2012.

Christina has lectured in the local community on various cardiology topics. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). She has served on the AALNC San Diego Chapter board since 2009.
